Law360, New York (September 11, 2012, 1:44 PM ET) — A Texas federal judge unsealed a False Claims Act complaint Friday targeting Universal Health Services Inc. and several drugmakers, accusing the of the hospital chain of pocketing drug discounts it received from AstraZeneca PLC, Merck & Co. Inc. and other drugmakers instead of passing the savings on to the government.

Two pharmacy directors at UHS-owned hospitals filed the qui tam complaint on behalf of the government, alleging that UHS operated nationwide scheme to leverage any cost-cutting incentives it could get from drugmakers to lower its expenses…
